We had a great biking tour with Luca. Everything went smoothly from booking to the end of the tour. Luca was an experienced tour guide as well as a nice gentleman. At the end, he gave us good tips for some Sicilian food! We had a fantastic half-day e-bike tour on Mount Etna with my son. It was our first time riding e-bikes, and our guide, Luca, made the whole experience enjoyable from the very beginning. He explained everything clearly, made sure we felt confident before setting off, and was patient and encouraging throughout the tour.

I didn’t have suitable shoes with me, but Luca kindly provided a pair, which was a great help and showed how attentive he was to our needs.

The route was beautiful, taking us through incredible volcanic landscapes that we would never have discovered on our own. The e-bikes made the ride accessible and fun, allowing us to enjoy the scenery without worrying about the climbs.

My wife and I opted for the 13.5mi, 3k ft vert (climbing), 2hr-ish moving time ride (“E-bike Etna Summit Short”) which took us from the meet up location (6k ft elevation) up to the ski resort lodge (9k ft elevation). The route was primarily paved or loose small rocks/gravel road, with a short stint on loose rocky double track, and the last quarter on fluffy volcanic sand/dust (which was luckily packed in for us by rain). We are avid analog mountain bikers from the Pacific Northwest so from a technical and endurance perspective this was a relatively straightforward ride, with the exception of the variable conditions we experienced up on Mt Etna and the elevation. We thoroughly enjoyed the scenic ride up, and the wild ride back down in a proper hail/lightening/thunder storm. The bikes were solid and set up well, and our guide provided us with a backpack, refreshments, gloves and bullet proof raincoats which held up well during the deluge. Rosella communicated with my wife very thoroughly on What’s App while booking and before/after our tour and recommended the perfect trip after all her questions. Luca was the perfect guide, keeping an eye on our skills to make sure we were on track, giving rest breaks, and keeping us entertained, & he kept a cool head when the conditions turned unexpectedly. According to the locals we talked to after, Etna weather is known to be unpredictable. Lica also gave us great recommendations for food nearby after. We highly recommend this trip! We enjoyed every minute.
