Cycling tour, along the roads and dirt roads that surround the city of Catania, for a cycling adventure that will take us to discover the Sicilian hinterland and the Simeto river.
Traveling across the Piana di Catania you will feel enveloped by the smell of orange blossoms while Mother Etna will watch over us from afar.
From our meeting point in Catania we will leave by bike and leave the city through a fast road towards Misterbianco, once arrived we will continue towards the Simeto river, between secondary roads and pleasant landscapes, along the western bank of the river, characterized by a compact dirt bottom at times sandy. After we will continue in the Paternò area and we will close the cycle touring ring using secondary roads and dirt sections, which will take us in the direction Piana di Catania, where typical Sicilian landscapes and colors will make this experience tiring but unique. Once we leave the Piana di Catania we will travel along a final fast- road coastal, which presents no particular dangers, given the width of the roadway. Arrived at the Playa di Catania (Catania seaside area, characterized by the golden sandy beach) we will head towards the historic center of Catania, using the main street, called via Etnea where you will be able to admire and photograph Baroque Catania and the monuments, palaces and squares, evidence of a previous Greek- Roman age.
Finally we will complete the cycling tour by reaching our Meeting Point in Catania.
